Leewood Homeowners Association
February 8, 2005 Board Meeting
Minutes

Open session: There was general discussion about dead trees on the South end of the community. Al Sanford advised that they had been marked for removal.

Several locations that have holes in the common area, left by workmen, were discussed. 7078-7080 Leestone in particular, had a water main repaired, and there is a lot of dirt missing. This brought up several other areas that had been left unfinished by Verizon workmen. President Julie will contact Verizon to have repaired.

President introduced our guest Zana Jevremedic from Care of Trees to the group. She gave an excellent summary of their services and submitted a proposal for expanding our service for an aggressive pruning program. There was discussion of our large Oaks, Pin Oaks, and various other trees that needed a proactive program to protect them. Everyone agreed that our priority was to protect our existing trees. Further discussion on replacing the trees that were recently cut down, and mulching the wooded area to help prevent disease took place. Various other suggestions were discussed.

Meeting convened at 9:05 P.M.

Minutes from the previous meetings were approved.

President’s report: Julie distributed several hand outs, including books on Robert’s Rules, notes on ticketing, and an excellent map of the community. Letter from a satellite company advising that the questionable placement of a resident’s dish, was the only area they could get a signal, was distributed. It was agreed that President Julie will send a waiver letter.

Annual meeting was discussed and the names of several potential nominees were mentioned. Activities for the annual meeting are set up and will proceed.
