Minutes

Board Members Present:

Convening: The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm at the Phillips
School, 7010 Braddock Road, Annandale, VA 22003.
Officer Reports:
• President:
The minutes from the April 13, 2010 were reviewed by the board and
approved.
• Vice President: Nothing to report
• At Large: Tom Harvat is working on the community phone
book.
• Secretary: Nothing to report
• Treasurer:
The Treasurer was not present, but provided an update of homeowner
accounts. There are currently 20 accounts outstanding of which 3
have been referred to the lawyer. The amount in arrears is $6,950.00.
Of this amount $3,350 is with the attorney. Note: Of the 20 accounts,
13 owe the 2nd Quarter 2010 and 7 accounts have a balance more than
one quarter due.
Summaries from Committee Chairs:
• Architectural Review Committee (ARC): The following motions
were made and approved regarding active ARC violations (Note: as
the ARC Chair, The AT Large Board Member, Tom Harvat, does not vote
on ARC hearing decisions or other ARC matters requiring approval
of the Board):
Penalties Forgiven: none
Extensions: None.
Hearings to be re-scheduled: None.
Second violation notices: Approved Two
With Lawyer: Three homeowner accounts
Tom Harvat, the ARC chair presented a report on the homeowner violations
and stated that there were 64 ARC first violation letters sent and
two second violations were approved.
• Grounds & Maintenance: Melinda Ford, the G&M chair
was not present but sent a report via the President stating that
she is waiting for a confirmation on the estimate for the drainage
repair. Also, she is waiting on bid for the landscaping around the
mail boxes.
• Report on State of Finances: Leona Taylor presented the
Budget Report and Balance Sheet and stated that we are in good shape.
Open Forum:
• Al Carchedi presented a report from Dominion Paving &
Sealing that Leebrad Street is in most need of repair. It was recommended
that all potholes be repaired and the street be seal coated. The
cost for is $3,398.00. The board approved we proceed.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm.
